The Team
Introducing your team
Nicholas Samuel pg.Dip(Dist) MARLA MNAEA
Managing Director
After gaining industry experience at Bristol & West Property Services, I bought and renovated some dilapidated properties in and around South Devon and personally managed their letting. This gave me valuable personal understanding of the buying and letting process.
In 1997, I relocated to London working in the City in commercial IT management. I also continued with property management and advising new build investors gave me the opportunity to open our first branch in Colliers Wood, South West London.
Today I am delighted to work with a dedicated and committed team of talented individuals. We have superb clients which makes me even more determined to maintain our personal and professional service as the business expands.
Paul Ahearn
Business Development Manager
I moved to the UK from Zimbabwe back in 2003. My business career began at Ernst & Young in accountancy and continued in the advertising industry at Bartle, Bogle, Hegarty.
The last property I rented happened to be through Samuel Estates. A year later the company was expanding and I was keen for a new challenge and opportunity so I approached Nick and offered my services to help run and develop the business. I joined Samuel Estates in April 2007 and have not looked back. It is long hours but so exciting in looking after our clients and meeting so many great people. We are keen to grow the business and it was definitely a proud moment when we took over Purser & Co. in Balham and re-launched it to become our second Samuel Estates office.
Frikkie Buitendag
Property Manager
Before relocating to the UK in 2003, I worked in the Hotel & Hospitality industry in South Africa.
Over here, I quickly realised property was an area that interested me and started out by managing my friends' properties whilst they were overseas. I joined Samuel Estates in the summer of 2007 as the Property Manager.
Connie Ahearn
Office Manager
Born and educated Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). I spent many happy years working in the Hotel and Catering Industry.
In 2005, we immigrated to the UK. I joined Samuel Estates in 2007. From my years of experience and having met and worked with people from all walks of life, being courteous, friendly and caring is one of the most important aspects a business can offer.
Mark Bainbridge MARLA
Sales & Lettings Consultant
I am now in my thrid year at Samuel Estates. I joined originally on the Finance operation but I quickly discovered a love for lettings and was offered a new role. During this time and with the continued support from the Samuel Estates team, I have studied and passed the ARLA Technical Award - the youngest person in the country to ever do so at the time.
The passion I have for our clients shows through in my day-to-day work and at Samuel Estates, we always strive to go the extra mile for our clients whether, Landlord or Tenant, Vendor or Buyer. This is what I believe sets us aside so much from other agents in the area and I am even more excited after moving into our Balham & Clapham office that we opened last year in 2009.
Nanda Lindsay
I work as a teacher at a local school and, for the last three years, have also worked Saturdays and during the school holidaypart-time at the Samuel Estates Balham office. Working with such a friendly, dedicated team of people has helped enhance my customer service skills in the business world. I have been able help ensure that we meet our clients needs efficiently and effectively. I look forward to developing my role here and continue to learn about all areas of this friendly and supportive business.
Vladimira Kubikova
Letting Negotiator (part time)
I was born and educated in the Czech Republic. Currently I work part time in the letting department of the Colliers Wood office and I am hoping to expand my role here. The rest of my time I spend managing a retail outlet.
Robert Daley
Lettings Consultant
I finished my degree studies in 2009, right in the heart of recession, and took a temporary administration role with a construction company.
It was during this period that I had an interview with Samuel Estates and was taken in by the company's dedication to their clients, friendly atmosphere and professionalism. When I received the offer to join the team I jumped at the chance to work in such a dynamic environment and plan to learn all I can about the property industry.
Nayna Makwana
Senior Lettings Manager
My family moved to UK in the early 70's from East Africa and I was brought up in South London. I got my first taste in the property field in 1985 at which time I realised my passion for the property market which soon led to a successful career path.
I have extensive experience in the property field and I am very happy to be given the opportunity to work with such an amazing, friendly and professional team at Samuel Estates where I will be able to utilise my experience to its full potential. My aim is to continue the good company ethics and look forward to working with a highly dedicated and motivated team.
On a personal level, I have 2 grown up children and enjoy being a mum but now that they are older I can dedicate myself to my career with Samuel Estates
