Whitney and all of the team at Samuel Estates have been providing us with excellent service for a number of years now. Their advice, support and guidance have been invaluable through some trying times, for example assisting us with evicting a problematic tenant and managing an extensive refurbishment project in our absence. As landlords living abroad, it's incredibly reassuring to know we've got sound support and a team who we can trust in our corner.

Ignored a leak, caused severe damage to our ceiling, hired cowboy contractors, then tried to wipe their hands off the damage. I do not say this lightly, the situation has dragged on for months. The audacity, carelessless, and frankly the utter disregard for their repsonsibility as property manages is beyond the pale. There were mushrooms growing out of the ceiling and they wasted 3 days saying "there was no leak". Yes, *MUSHROOMS* growing out the ceiling. The leak went on to cause further damage to supporting floor beams, which could have been a serious safety hazard. Then they sent a parade of contractors to quote for the fixes, they chose the contractors. We asked no questions and accepted in good faith. During that process a brick fell and damage our bath and bathroom suite. Samuel Estates tried to wipe their hands off this, I quote "Since Samuel Estates was not responsible for the unexpected damage caused by DCL, we hold no liability in this case". The contractors were acting as agents of Samuel Estates. The additional damage caused by the falling brick during repairs is consequential damage from their work. They cannot simply chose to "withdraw" responsibility for damage caused by contractors they appointed. Get real. I'm only re-iterating publicly what I already say to them, but the people in charge removed themselves from the conversation, they literally didn't even want to hear it. As a tenant, or a landlord - beware.

My main point of contact is Whitney - what a delight, since Laurels pulled the rug from under our feet as landlords without notice or personal contact from Robert to owner and MD of Laurels. I was very disappointed with Laurels as a result in the end and subsequently discovered things they hadn't done properly. Having been an early and loyal client of Roberts for over five years. Whitney has worked hard with us to get things back on track with arranging market appraisals, proper property inspections, various works, lapsed landlord insurance cover amongst other things. Whitney actually excels in all she does, she is both courteous and efficient. I thought previously Laurels were good but Whitney is in another league. She is always cheerful and resolves issues promptly. To me Whitney is Samuel Estates and they should be proud to have such a wonderful ambassador on the payroll and hopefully they will ensure she is adequately rewarded financially and in terms of job satisfaction that she continues to delight all who have contact with her, Whitney is a true superstar. Long may this continue to be the case.

I had excellent service from Jade during my stay and whilst going through the checkout phase when leaving the property. Nothing was too much trouble and Jade was very quick to respond to questions and get resolutions. Any issues with the property were fixed promptly from the various maintenance companies, good service there. There did seem to be issues with regard to comms with their recommended cleaners and it felt a little chaotic, although I’m not sure where the comms issues lay. I will also say the cleaning itself was good. Overall a good service across my stay and I would be happy renting through Samuel’s Estates Colliers Wood in the future.
